Bridgewater Football League Cheerleading BFL is a family oriented organization that prides itself in putting the child first in their efforts of learning the concepts of cheerleading & the choreography of dance. Join the BFL Family to create a lifetime of memories while being a part of a team. BFL Cheerleading is open to all children from Bridgewater Raritan and surrounding towns for grades K-8th grade. All cheerleading squads start pre season practice the third week of August The Teams: Flag: This recreational team is composed of students in grades K-2. When school starts, the children will practice once a week (day of practice is determined by the coach) & will attend a football game on Saturday mornings. Other Cheerleading Fees Include: white sneaker, a midriff, cheer bows, cheer socks, white no show socks, and a cheerleading brief. Pee Wee: This team is composed of students in grades 3 & 4. When school starts, the children will practice two nights a week (days are determined by the coach), cheer for the football team Saturday afternoon, as well as attend competitions on several weekends. There will be an extra nominal weekly cost for individuals on this squad to attend a cheer facility. JV: This team is composed of students in grades 5 & 6. When school starts the children will practice two nights a week (days are determined by the coach), cheer for the football team Saturday nights under the lights. There will be an extra nominal weekly cost for individuals on this squad to attend a cheer facility. Varsity: This team is composed of students in grades 7 & 8. When school starts, the children will practice two nights a week (days are determined by the coach), cheer for the football team Saturday nights under the lights. There will be an extra nominal weekly cost for individuals on this squad to attend a cheer facility.
Other Cheerleading Fees Include: a pair of white sneakers for football games, a pair of all white competition sneakers that is only worn inside for practice/comps and taken off after, a midriff, cheer bow, competition bow, boy shorts, white no show socks, and a team sweatshirt. A $50 Work Bond is also handed in with your cheer registration. All families have the opportunity to keep their $50 Work Bond by volunteering their time to help make the BFL Organization successful. Eblasts through BFL with volunteer opportunities will go out. Attendance at all practices and games are essential in order to achieve all goals to be a successful team.
